Cheltenham MP Martin Horwood was just £12 over the average for all MPs when the annual league table of parliamentary expenditure was published. The total of about £131,000 was spent on stationery, staffing, office rent and other office costs, train travel between Cheltenham and Westminster and accommodation costs in London. But website www.TheyWorkForYou.com rates Martin above average for asking plenty of questions to ministers and contributing to more than the average number of parliamentary debates. "I wouldn't attach too much significance to the exact numbers" said Martin "but I guess that does make me good value for money!"
