Did you ever think that a jumble sale could be such a good thing for the community? Well it is. On Saturday our sale at the Church Hall in Pennine Road was successful because:-
We provided goods at a knockdown price for some of the poorer people in the community
It was also a good example of re-use
Some of the leftovers (textiles/shoes) went for outlets in Africa/Asia
Some warm clothes have been donated to Open Door
Age Concern and British Heart Foundation will benefit from items for sale in their outlets
YMCA will benefit from many books and miscellaneous items for their shop
The church will benefit from the room hire
and The local Party will benefit from the profit we raised
