Local MP Martin Horwood told assembled Cheltenham pensioners recently that they needed to keep up the pressure on elected representatives like him.
Martin paid tribute to local pensioners' campaigner Len Mason who died recently. 'Len always had a long list of issues to take up with me and he never let me off the hook', he said. 'But he always did it with good humour and a twinkle in his eye.'
Martin addressed pensioners' concerns about crime and disorder, cycling on the pavements, the local NHS and the fate of the Delancey's rehabilitation services. He said the best tribute they could pay Len would be to keep lobbying as he would have wanted.
