Urgent investigation into floods is needed says Martin Horwood

Cheltenham's MP Martin Horwood has called for an investigation by the Environment Agency into the appalling floods in Cheltenham this morning.

Martin said:

"We need to know as a matter of urgency why so many properties have been flooded and so many roads closed causing chaos when we have just spent £20 million on a flood defence scheme.

"I want a detailed report from the Agency into how the flood scheme responded to the rainfall and whether changes are needed to prevent this flooding in the future."
