Defending Cheltenham's Climate Future

The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, seems set to roll back on important work being done by government to protect our planet and tackle climate change. Such a roll back not only jeopardizes our shared commitments to protecting the planet but also risks igniting misunderstanding, conspiracy, and conflict in the face of the greatest challenge confronting humanity today.

At Cheltenham Borough Council, we have invested in green infrastructure, phased out gas boilers in new housing developments, pioneered the creation of net-zero social housing, and provided vital support to our local small and medium-sized businesses. These efforts are a reflection of our community's collective priorities, echoing the voices we've heard on doorsteps across Cheltenham.

Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we stand together to safeguard our environment and secure a sustainable future for Cheltenham.

We've written a letter to our MP, Alex Chalk, asking him to go on the record in defence of urgent climate action. Show your support for our letter by signing below.

Don't let Rishi Sunak ditch climate action

Tell our MP to ask his friend, Rishi Sunak, to stick to our country's climate targets and not roll back on urgent action. Support our letter and our shared commitment to achieving Cheltenham's Net Zero goals.
