Back Max's War on Wee
Race Week offers a vital boost to Cheltenham's economy, providing work and opportunities for residents across the town. But it is not without its downsides, including a plague of public urination by racegoers across town. Public urination is illegal, unpleasant to see and makes many people feel uncomfortable or threatened - particularly women. I'm pleased to see more funding agreed for temporary public toilets along the busiest routes to the races, but we need to do more to protect our town during Race Week. I'm calling on CBC, the police and Jockey Club to work together on a ‘War on Wee’ including: - Funding hydrophobic ‘anti-wee’ paint on walls in Cheltenham - A public information campaign aimed at race goers - More enforcement by police to bring about punishments for people who urinate in public
